Figuring out your tire size is easier than it looks — the information is printed right on your car. Here's where to find it.
Look at the side of your current tire for a code like 225/65R17. That's your size. 225 is the width in millimeters, 65 is the aspect ratio, R means radial, and 17 is the wheel diameter in inches. Reading that one string tells us exactly what you need.
Open your driver's door and look at the sticker on the door frame. It lists the manufacturer's recommended tire size and proper inflation pressures for your vehicle — handy if your current tires might be the wrong size.
Your owner's manual also lists the factory tire size and specifications. It's a good cross-check, especially if the door sticker is worn.
